Dealing with the South Americans… (Pt. 4; Machu Picchu)

One other booking we needed to make well in advance was for the Machu Picchu Inca Trail. This iconic trail in its standard form is a 4 day trek ending at one of the Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu.

Although there are many different treks that can be done including taking a train straight to he town at the base of MP, the Inca Trail itself requires a permit for hikers of which there are only a limited number for each day. Although I was concerned about my knee problems on the 4 day trek I have opted to do it, will have to see how that turns out for me, watch this space.
